It is located on the west side of the Big Island, surrounded by beaches with gorgeous white sand. Of course you can take advantage of the typical outdoor activities just like at Maui vacation hotels, but this location also offers other unique opportunities. For example, consider visiting the Captain Cook Monument to get a sense of the history in the area.
No listing of Big Island and Maui beach hotels would be complete without mentioning the Hilo Seaside Hotel. Located on the east side of the Big Island, this could be what you came to Hawaii for. Breathtaking features include nearby waterfalls, ancient volcanoes, and ponds brimming with life. It's a short trip back to your charming hotel at the end of the day to relax.
